Sporting talent can emerge from any part of the country, but talent alone may not be enough for an athlete to progress. Regular practice, suitable equipment and encouragement are equally important during the early stages of development. When these basic requirements are unavailable, promising athletes may find it difficult to continue training consistently. TL;DR: To address this need, the Abhay Bhutada Foundation marked National Sports Day 2026 by donating sports kits to talented students from the North East of India. The initiative provided young athletes with practical resources while recognising their determination to pursue their sporting goals.
