How the Abhay Bhutada Foundation Is Helping Students Catch Up and Move Ahead

Education has the power to shape futures, but only when students have equal access to the right resources. The Abhay Bhutada Foundation, founded by Abhay Bhutada, is working to make that access possible. Instead of waiting for change, the Foundation is actively creating it by helping students gain the support, tools, and exposure they need to grow, thrive, and build brighter futures.

Money That Matters for Students Who Deserve It

There’s a lot of talk about scholarships out there, but not all of them reach the people who need them most. This Foundation partnered with Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal (MVPM) and rolled out a scholarship plan that worked both ways, rewarding good grades and supporting students who were struggling financially.

They gave out ₹1 lakh each to 25 students. Ten of those were based on merit—students who’ve worked hard and scored high. The other fifteen were need-based, basically for students whose families were finding it hard to afford school stuff. That balance? Super important.

No Guesswork, Just a Clear Process

Unlike some programs where nobody knows how selections happen, this one was super clear and organized. There was a joint team from the Foundation and MVPM who actually sat down, checked all the applications, and even interviewed students.

When Science Becomes Something You Can Touch

If you went to a typical rural school, you probably had science classes with only chalk and blackboard diagrams. But how do you understand a microscope if you’ve never seen one? That’s exactly what the Foundation thought too.

So, they joined hands with the LearnByDoing initiative and handed out STEM kits to more than 2000 students in eight rural schools in Pune. We’re talking about real tools, microscopes, body models, periscopes, everything that makes science real and fun.

Small Villages, Big Reactions

Places like Thakarwadi, Dhanore, and Bursewadi suddenly had students asking questions, staying alert in class, and genuinely enjoying science and math. Teachers even said students who were usually quiet started participating more just because they could finally connect what they learned to real objects.

The Person Who’s Powering This Change

Abhay Bhutada

Abhay Bhutada isn’t your typical business guy. Sure, he’s successful and all, but what sets him apart is how much he cares about students having access to quality education. He believes learning shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be something every kid gets, no matter where they’re from or how much money their parents make.

Through his Foundation, he’s made sure support isn’t just about cash, it’s about resources, ideas, and action. He’s invested in things that make education easier, smarter, and more equal.

The Plan Is Just Getting Started

The good news? This is just the beginning. The Foundation isn’t stopping with a few scholarships or a couple of school visits. The plan is to reach more students, roll out more scholarships, and take those STEM kits to more schools across the country.

So if you're a student reading this, or someone who believes in education that actually works, keep an eye out. This is one organization that’s not just talking about change; it’s doing it.
